The Foundation is incorporated in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act, andregistered in United States of America as well.

JDEsema Foundation is committed
- To furthering universal access to high-quality educational opportunities for individuals to achieve Success and for the betterment of society
- To train, motivate and promote civic activities that will ensure sustainable democracy through good
governance and individual’s civility in the entire society.
- To engender the availability of “food for all” through the propagation of most effective and rewarding
agricultural practices.
Missions
Mission - Civics
JDEsema Foundation’s mission is:
- To inform, inspire, and empower people to exercise their rights and accept the responsibilities of citizens in a democracy.
- To encourage responsible participation in the democratic process through educational programs and publications in government and citizenship.
- To developing new and better ways for young people, teachers, and a widening circle of citizens of all ages to gain a practical understanding of how public policy affects their lives and how individual and collective efforts affect public policy.
Program Implementation
JDEsema Foundation conducts programs to increase civic involvement, promote civic achievement, and encourage civic awareness in Akwa Ibom State, across the country Nigeria, and around the world; in print and on television; and in the classroom and the community. The Foundation helps strengthen the nation’s most valuable resource: its citizens.
The Foundation’s citizenship programs are guided by the following principles:
- Democracy is a dynamic system of government that requires active and informed participation.
- The rights and responsibilities of citizenship are shared by all.
- Civic learning is for everyone.
- Culture, traditions and self identity are antidotes of good citizenship
- Civic involvement is a lifelong process.
- We learn best through direct experience.
Mission- Education
JDEsema Foundation will
- Do everything necessary to encourage, uphold, and dignify the profession of the teacher and the cause of basic education.
- Promote accessibility, quality, and effectiveness of education, especially for underserved populations, in Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria at large.
- Provide grants and technical assistance to programs focused on improving academic achievement in strategic educational initiatives.
- Sponsor research and conferences that examine critical issues in education in order to advance Knowledge within the educational field and influence policy at the state, regional and national level.
The Foundation's work is guided, in part, by the following values:
- In the contemporary world, access to Basic Education is no longer opulence, it’s a civil right.
- The importance for all individuals to attain basic qualitative education creates a renewed sense of urgency in support of our mission.
- Our approach to educational funding includes engaged grant making, technical assistance, convening, research, evaluation, and communication/disseminationof information.
- In our relationships with grant seekers and grantees, we strive to represent openness, inclusiveness, genuineness, and trust.
Mission- Agriculture
To encourage agriculture as a prosperous industry, a genuine tourist attraction, and a way of life that honors our past and reliably preserves the green and vigorous environment.
Agriculture mission is premised on;
- discovering and sharing quality knowledge for the development of socially beneficial, economically successful and environmentally sound systems for food and other renewable resources
- engage farm based communities for the enhancement of the quality of life
- and prepare young farmers to become future leaders in agriculture and society
Aims & Objectives
- To benefit students and teachers by honoring outstanding academic scholarships
- To foster creative approaches and support to education through grants and involvement
- To encourage career professionalism in the field of agriculture by supporting practitioners through grants, aids, and low interest loan
- To create incentives/reward methods for outstanding agricultural performances that brings about food boom
- To immortalise citizens with traits worthy of emulation and of positive influence to citizenship by instituting a global recognition method
- To stimulate cultural identity and dignifying self of the people of the state, region and Nigeria at large
- To encourage the participation of Nigerians in the Agric-Energy round table.
